The Gaslight Anthem's new LP Handwritten arrives July 24 on Mercury Records, but today (June 7) the New Jersey band released a video for the album's lead single, "45."
On "45," frontman Brian Fallon and co. continue to meld punk directness with the blue-collar anthems of their rock'n'roll idol, Bruce Springsteen. The clip, too, is standard rock music fare, switching between forlorn and destitute-looking shots of New Jersey's grey landscape and an energetic live performance. All in all, this is a hearty serving of meat-and-potatoes American rock'n'roll.
