Fuckpony

Let the Love Flow

Fuckpony used to be a collaboration between Berliners Jay Haze and Samim Winiger, but since the latter left, the former has taken the project into deeper, more introspective territory, while the basic architecture of the sound is still old school house. Haze owns the labels TuningSpork and Contexterrior, recently put together the Fabric 47 mix and has laid down some killer tracks for various labels, including Get Physical. Let the Love Flow doesn't have the same "pop," to borrow a term from skateboarding, as some of his previous work, in the sense that it's a much subtler affair, but it's a dope contribution to the world of electronic dance music. There are some peak moments, like "Orgasm on the Dancefloor Saturday Night," and Chela Simone and Laila Tov provide guest vocals on "Fall Into Me." Haze opens up his vocal chords and lays down a competent vocal contribution, which is just as much a strong artistic statement as it is an after hours workout.
