It's the follow-up to 2021's 'Draw Down the Moon'

Dudes do, in fact, rock; preeminent examples include (but are not limited to) Foxing, the St. Louis, MO, indie outfit that emerged with their perennial debut album The Albatross in 2013. More than a decade later, they've announced their fifth studio album, led by new single "Greyhound."

As teased yesterday (July 31) in footage from a press conference held in their hometown over the weekend, Foxing's self-titled record is due September 13 via the band's own Grand Paradise imprint. Produced and mixed entirely by guitarist Eric Hudson, Foxing follows 2021's Draw Down the Moon and sees touring bassist Brett Torrence formally join the fold. Press notes describe the record as "a document of a band finding comfort in their own chaos."

Fittingly, cathartic lead single "Greyhound" has a runtime of over eight minutes — long enough for the group to cover a diverse expanse of textures from the sonic territories they've explored throughout their career, from moments of elegant softness to unbridled ferocity. Give it a listen below, where you'll also find the album tracklist.

Foxing:

1. Secret History
2. Hell 99
3. Split
4. Greyhound
5. Barking
6. Kentucky McDonald's
7. Looks Like Nothing
8. Gratitude
9. Dead Cat
10. Dead Internet
11. Hall of Frozen Heads
12. Cry Baby
