Rich Priske, the former bassist of the Matthew Good Band and a staple of the '90s Canadian alternative rock scene, has passed away at the age of 52. His cause of death is unknown.

Under the stage name Rich Rock, Priske played bass on three Matthew Good Band albums and three solo albums from Good.

In addition to the Matthew Good Band, Priske also performed with Bif Naked and the Real McKenzies

Remembering Priske, 54-40's Dave Genn — who played with the bassist in several bands over the years — told Global News he was the "hardest working bass player in Vancouver, best bass player in Vancouver," adding, "If you were a fan of Canadian rock and roll in the '90s, you are familiar with his work. His basslines are all over the place, he played with so many bands."
