Flying Lotus was met with a ton of criticism over the weekend for telling a crass joke at the expense of U.S. presidential nominee Hillary Clinton at a concert in Oakland, but the producer doesn't really care about your thinkpieces or tweets about him. A new message through his Twitter account has him reiterating to the media that he will "always make dirty, racist, sexist jokes" because he thinks they're funny.
The controversy began while FlyLo was performing at Oakland venue the Fox Theater on Friday (September 16), where he started talking about Donald Trump. After apparently critiquing the Republican, he then put the focus on Clinton, cracking: "I couldn't possibly vote for a woman who doesn't give an awesome blowjob." This was a reference to husband and former President Bill Clinton's affair with Monica Lewinsky back in the '90s.
The producer quickly followed this up by reiterating: "I'm just kidding. I'm going to vote for her ass anyway."
After being met with a series of angry tweets that called the remarks misogynistic, Flying Lotus offered up more support for Hillary Clinton's campaign, and then expressed that the rise in PC culture has him wanting to grab a mic and "say some depraved shit u need to hear."
Considering his latest remarks, you can expect more "depraved shit" from Flying Lotus sometime soon, possibly via his feature film, Kuso.
