Fatboy Slim Announces 25th Anniversary Reissue of 'You've Come a Long Way, Baby'

When Fatboy Slim released You've Come a Long Way, Baby in October of 1998, the underground club and rave scene in the UK was at its peak, with DJs pumping out fast, loud electronic dance music until the wee hours. It was a time when electronic music was reserved strictly for clubbing and raves — so when You've Come a Long Way, Baby dropped, it was evident that some things were about to change for the genre.

Norman Cook was among the first few to bridge the gap between conventional pop music and the sound of the rave scene in the UK, popularizing what is known today as the big beat movement, and making him arguably one of the most important figures in pioneering the genre.

This October, Cook's revolutionary album turns 25 years old. In celebration of its anniversary, record label Astralwerks has announced an anniversary reissue of the award-winning You've Come a Long Way, Baby, set to release on October 13.

The double LP, which was remastered at half-speed at Abbey Road Studios, includes chart-toppers "Rockafeller Skank," "Gangster Trippin," "Praise You," "Right Here Right Now" and more. Pre-order yours here and check out the tracklist below.
