To commemorate the tenth anniversary of their most recognized album to date, The Director's Cut, the infamously experimental madmen of Fantômas bring their unforgettable brand of audio insanity to life on stage in its entirety. Although the group's music is rambunctious and erratic, at times, it's executed in a highly sophisticated fashion and the songs are as unique as the personalities within the unit. Fantômas for this show featured mastermind Mike Patton, formerly of Faith No More, on vocals, Trevor Dunn (of Mr. Bungle fame) on bass, as well as the Melvins' Buzz Osbourne (guitar) and Dale Crover on drums. The group's comedic, yet powerful, rendition of the theme from The Godfather, composed by Nino Rota, is delivered with devastating fury, featuring chainsaw guitar riffs and blistering breakdowns. However, "Experiment in Terror" reveals that there is a surprisingly melodic method to the madness within the band's music.
