Last March, Slipknot effectively split with Chris Fehn after it was reported the longtime percussionist was suing his bandmates over financial compensation. Now, it appears the suit has been dropped.
Rock Feed reports that Fehn's attorneys filed a Notice of Voluntary Discontinuance with the New York Supreme Court on October 29, though it remains unclear if a settlement was involved.
Fehn, who had performed with Slipknot since 1998 and appeared on all studio releases up to last year's We Are Not Your Kind, filed a lawsuit seeking an examination of the band's companies and assets, alleging he hadn't been received fair compensation from touring and merchandise sales.
"Chris knows why he is no longer a part of Slipknot," the band wrote in a statement upon dismissing Fehn last year. "We are disappointed that he chose to point fingers and manufacture claims, rather than doing what was necessary to continue to be a part of Slipknot. We would have preferred he not take the path that he has, but evolution in all things is a necessary part of this life."
