Faced with an abbreviated set well past last call, the Sad Clowns had no trouble keeping a late night crowd of stragglers rapt. By the time an overly-scarved and hooded hipster babe started shedding layers and whipping her boyfriend on the dance floor, it wasnt even the strangest sight of the night. Dressed like E-Street Band rejects, bassist Clayton Dyon perched himself on top of his amplifier and howled at the blood red stage light above, while Evan and Geordie Gordon embarked on strange, sexually-charged duets that had the audience equally ecstatic and squeamish. Gordons time travelling "crunk rock (his term) alternated between gut-punching dance grooves and contortionist prog that never ceased to amaze.
