Elliott

Will You

BY Stuart GreenPublished Apr 1, 2000

Given that it's been a couple of years since Louisville's Elliott graced us with any new music, the lads have released this two-song seven-inch to let us all to know they haven't gone away. Recorded last summer as the by-product of a six-month writing retreat, these tracks are a companion to another two-song seven-inch on Initial Records. And man oh man, if these songs are any indication of what they've been working on, their sophomore full-length, scheduled for a late spring release, should be quite the thing to behold. Featured on this single are a new track, "Calvary Song," a throbbing, brooding full on emo rock assault, and "The Fan and The Bellows," a cover of an obscure 1982 Chameleons song. The new album should be spectacular.
