Montreal-via-Guelph singer/songwriter Elizabeth Powell has been a compelling voice and stage presence since her high school days, and her latest incarnation includes songs from that period alongside equally strong new material. She doesn’t really need the electronic embellishments of her keyboardist, which were often distracting, although a guitar-less number where she roamed the stage with her mic was a highlight.
