Make the most of your For All the Dogs listening, Drake fans. Following the release of his 15th studio album today, the rapper announced that he's going to step away from music indefinitely to take care of lingering health issues.
He broke the news on his SiriusXM radio show Table for One, which broadcasts from Ristorante Sotto Sotto in Toronto.
"I probably won't make music for a little bit," he said. "I'm gonna be real with you. I need to focus on my health, first and foremost. ... I've been having the craziest problems for years with my stomach."
He continued, clarifying that his hiatus could go on for over a year: "I need to get right. I have a lot of other things that I would love to focus on," he said. "So, I'm gonna lock the door on the studio for a little bit ... maybe a year or something, maybe a little bit longer."
Drake will wrap up his It's All a Blur Tour with back-to-back Toronto shows today and tomorrow. After that, it could be a while before we hear from him — although he always manages to stay in the news one way or another.
