Montreal multi-instrumentalist Domenic Petrella records instrumental music under the initials DP, and over the weekend he released the six-song EP In Bloom.
The songs were created using a Tascam digital 8-track, and Petrella played bass, guitar, keyboards and drum machine. His influences include post-punk acts like Joy Division and Gang of Four, and you can get a sense of this from the steadily thrumming bass, chiming guitar lines and occasional intrusion of fuzz.
