DJ Shadow Announces North American Tour, Plays Vancouver

BY Josiah HughesPublished Sep 23, 2010

In April of this year, eclectic turntable guru DJ Shadow announced that he was "halfway done" his fourth full-length and follow-up to 2006's middling affair The Outsider. He hinted that the album was getting closer when he temporarily leaked some new tracks earlier this month. Now it really looks as if plans are forming, as Shadow has announced a North American tour.

The brief run of dates is set to take place in late October and early November, and while most Canadian cities are missing out on the appearance, Vancouver will be treated to a show at the Commodore Ballroom on October 25. Tickets for the event will run you $45, and can be purchased through Live Nation here.

To get fans more involved with the concert experience, DJ Shadow has launched a new iPhone app where attendees are encouraged to upload photos from before, after and during the set, as well as leave comments on the performance. As it's added, content will be available here.

As for the new Shadow material, the new tracks "Def Surrounds Us" and "I've Been Trying" were only available as free downloads on September 13. Now, they can be purchased as digital singles here.

Tour dates:

10/30 Las Vegas, NV - House Of Blues

10/31 Hollywood, CA - House Of Blues Sunset Strip
