Desaparecidos Sign to Epitaph for New LP

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 27, 2015

Thirteen years on from the release of Desaparecidos' debut LP, Read Music/Speak Spanish, the Conor Oberst-led post-punk project have announced a follow-up is on the way. Though details are slim, the set is scheduled to arrive sometime in 2015 through new label home, Epitaph Records.

A press release confirms that the quintet have linked up with the iconic punk imprint, though neither party has given up the specifics on the upcoming sophomore effort. Though the band haven't issued an LP since 2002, they've self-release a trio of 7-inches since reuniting in 2010. "Marikkkopa"/"Backsell" arrived in 2012, while both "Te Amo Camila Vallejo"/"The Underground Man" and "Anonymous"/"The Left Is Right" landed in 2013.

Though album specifics are scant, the group did reveal a handful of upcoming tour dates. You'll find the details on the shows, which have Desaparecidos hitting Coachella and playing club dates with Joyce Manor, Built to Spill and more, down below.
