Now that Earache has snatched up this cool metalcore band and released their great Lament Configuration album, a re-release of this, the band's first, seems to be in order. And why not, as the damn thing is just as good as Configuration, if not better; it's not decimated by a bizarre, treble-heavy production like that one was. Still a little distracted by the singer, unable to tell whether his screamed and growled vocals are cool or annoying, but at least it's slightly different. The other folks in the band are great, weaving their way through technical hardcore and speed-laden breaks with the slightest of ease. The drumming in particular is a nice treat. For those that already have this, don't bother buying this re-release as the bonus stuff isn't exactly the cat's meow.
