It's been a long time since psychedelic/electronic UK outfit Death In Vegas released their last album, Satan's Circus. Seven years, to be exact. So to say that the troupe's newly announced album has been a long time coming is a bit of an understatement.
While there's no doubt some of their familiar, darkened big-beat tendencies will be feature on the upcoming disc, titled Trans Love Energies, some new collaborators will be popping by to liven up Death In Vegas's festivities.
A press release confirms that while producer/songwriter/frontman Richard Fearless will be tackling the better part of the singing duties this time out, gloomy new waver Katie Stelmanis, of Toronto's Austra, will be guesting on a pair of songs as well.
Following a stint playing guitar with New York-based Black Acid and studying film and photography, Fearless is back in the UK, putting the final tweaks on Death In Vegas's upcoming masterwork. A tracklisting has yet to be revealed, but Trans Love Energies is set to come out September 12 on the band's imprint, Drone Records.
