The digital era has spawned some pretty fascinating ways of previewing albums to audiences prior to their official release dates. Now, the Dead Weather have found a way to apply the means of modern digital music proliferation with the age-old tactic of previewing album songs live for an audience. That's right: Jack White and co. are planning to stream a performance of the band playing their new record, Sea of Cowards, live in its entirety.
The foursome will take the stage at the headquarters of White's Third Man Records at 6 p.m. EST on Monday (May 3) for a track-by-track preview performance of the new album. The show will be broadcasted live on the band's MySpace.
Ironically, it was the very same stage that the Dead Weather first performed on before they dropped their debut album just over a year ago.
As previously reported, Sea of Cowards will drop May 11 in North America, courtesy of Third Man Records/Warner.
