After his estate sold his publishing catalogue earlier this year, the memory of David Bowie continues to effortlessly inhabit legend status: this fall, the Celebrating David Bowie tour paying tribute to the icon will feature Todd Rundgren and Adrian Belew of King Crimson, with two Canadian stops in Quebec.

The star-studded lineup of musicians also includes Fishbone's Angelo Moore, Spacehog's Royston Langdon and Jeffrey Gaines, with bassist Angeline Saris, drummer Michael Urbano, saxophonist Ron Dziubla and guitarist Scrote (Angelo Bundini) — who put together the first Celebrating David Bowie tour in 2017 and is producing this one alongside Miles Copeland — rounding out the backing band.

"David Bowie was a master," Langdon said in a statement. "It's impossible to put into words quite how much he taught me. It gives me a huge thrill to get to honour Mr. B. & to be a small part of this immense celebration of his life & work with these world-class musicians and everyone who, like me, feels his energy alive and vital around me [sic] now just as it was then & forever shall be."

To Rolling Stone, Scrote added:

One of the things we're doing differently on this tour is featuring a three-guitar attack. David has always been famous for his spectacular guitarists – the epic solos of Mick Ronson, the bluesy feel of Earl Slick, the funkiness of Carlos Alomar and Nile Rodgers, the bombast of Reeves Gabrels, and the otherworldly guitar of Adrian Belew, who is still one of the most original guitarists working today. To explore all of these guitar sides of Bowie's songs, we're highlighting Adrian's brilliance, Todd's guitar wizardry, and whatever guitar mayhem I can muster in between.

The tour starts rolling out on October 6 in San Diego, CA, just a few weeks after Brett Morgen's highly-anticipated Bowie film Moonage Daydream gets its theatrical release. They'll come through Quebec City for a show at Le Capitole on October 17, followed by Montreal's Olympia on October 18. Things will wrap up on November 13 at Phoenix, AZ's Celebrity Theatre.

Tickets for the Celebrating David Bowie tour go on sale next Monday (June 13).
