Darryl Singletary

Recently polluting my player was Daryle Singletary, Audium's latest "big hat.” Much doesn’t offend me, but That's Why I Sing This Way is an effortless piece of crap — all bad covers except for one shitty original, the title track. He dares to cover "Long Black Veil” and "Dim Lights, Thick Smoke” with such a cavalier attitude that I could puke. Part of me wants to have this printed and the other half says I've given this label whore more time than he's worth. The problem is that there are more where he came from, because no one has shut down the factory. Bah!
