Crosstown Rebels label boss Damian Lazarus helms the decks for the fourth edition of Get Lost since the mix series' inception in 2006. A plethora of track premieres makes Get Lost 4 immediately noteworthy and the initial excitement of new songs from the likes of Art Department ("All Mine"), Acid Paul (with slow-burner "Japan") and Dana Ruh (the minimalist "Night Till Dawn") is only bolstered by Lazarus's concise mixing. Coming in at over an hour in length, it's a sizeable selection of tunes that does fine work featuring artists on the Crosstown Rebels imprint, as well as recent floor-fillers like "Ye Ye" by Dapnhi (aka Caribou's Dan Snaith) and the more leftfield electronic realm occupied by Avey Tare's recent solo work outside of Animal Collective ("Oliver Twist"). Get Lost 4 is a cohesive effort, and though many tracks are included primarily to introduce new Crosstown Rebels artists, it comes across as effortless, a diverse and entirely danceable collection curated wonderfully.
