It's a shame that the song name "Funky, Funky Xmas" was already taken by the New Kids on the Block, because Dâm-Funk's hyper holiday single is more than deserving of the title.
As it stands, "Tis the Season" is an over-the-top ass-shaker replete with wriggling synth lines and peppy drum machine beats. In addition to crooning its hooky chorus, Dâm-Funk drops a stellar spoken word verse about wrapping up gifts. "Wow, what a trip," he laughs. Considering its sweat-soaked pace, this might be the most cardio-conducive Christmas song of all time. Get ready for a workout.
