Proving to be a prolific addition to Vancouver's independent music scene, art rock experimentalists Dada Plan are getting ready to release their second album in under a year. They'll be self-releasing The Madness Hides April 25, but you can take a sneak peek of the set's "Helpless" right now in a new life-invigorating video.
Directed by Dave Biddle, the clip focuses on an interaction that leaves an elevator attendee with a brightly bearded but inanimate Apollo. Owing to some unexplained, Mannequin-style magic, the figure comes to life, slaps on a suit, and ultimately slides a sultry sax solo above Dada Plan's late-night groove. Also of note: Johnny de Courcy added piano to the cut.
