Seven months on from the release of this year's excellent Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit, Australian songwriter Courtney Barnett has been awfully busy as of late. She recorded a single for Third Man Records, gave her album an expended reissue and teamed up with Paul Kelly for a tune. Now, she has released a full live set through Austin City Limits.
The episode starts with a set from Gary Clark Jr., and Barnett's part of the program starts at 27:52. Joined by a two-piece rhythm section, she opens the set with a boogie-tinged version of "Elevator Operator." The rest of the performance also highlights Sometimes I Sit and Think (including highlights like "Depreston" and "Pedestrian at Best"), and Barnett also covers You Am I's "Heavy Heart."
