Converge frontman Jacob Bannon announced the formation of Umbra Vitae late last month, and before debut album Shadow of Life arrives in May, the death metal project have rolled out another song from the effort.
The crushing "Mantra of Madness" arrives today alongside a disorienting black and white video helmed by Chariot of Black Moth, and you can take in the clip below.
As previously reported, Umbra Vitae features frontman Bannon, guitarists Sean Martin (Twitching Tongues, ex-Hatebreed) and Mike McKenzie (the Red Chord, Stomach Earth), bassist Greg Weeks (the Red Chord) and drummer Jon Rice (Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats, ex-Job for a Cowboy).
Shadow of Life arrives May 1 through Deathwish Inc.
