Experimental pop act CocoRosie released some new material this week for the first time since their album Grey Oceans came out on Sub Pop two years ago. Now, they've returned to their roots, releasing a video for their new single "We Are on Fire."
The clip features some very weird visuals, including slow-motion shots of robed figures doing aerial flips and blowing smoke. The song itself finds the group in fine form, allowing their more esoteric leanings to become accessible with a head-nod-inducing hip-hop drum beat that explodes with a big hook on the chorus.
"We Are on Fire" is the A-side to CocoRosie's new single, which is available now through venerable indie label Touch and Go.
