Cicada Music & Arts Festival is returning to Henley Island on October 1 for its 2022 edition, inviting headlining act the Strumbellas along with artists like Tokyo Police Club, Dizzy, the Sadies, Begonia, Boy Golden, Georgia Harmer and more.

Local Ontario acts like Lastli, Lunipeer, Little Nerves and JIN will also be taking the stage, rounding out a festival that promises incredible music, local art and fantastic eats.

"We're extremely excited to bring this lineup of Canadian talent to St. Catharines this Fall," Cicada Fest founder Erik Dickson said in a statement. "After an amazing response to the festival in 2018 and 2019, we couldn't wait to get back to work after the pandemic shut down live events for the better part of two years."

Cicada Festival was originally organized as a backyard party and community event by Port Dalhousie resident Thom Lepp. After hosting the event for several years, Lepp was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2012 and passed away in the summer of 2017. The festival continues on in Lepp's memory.

Proceeds from Cicada Music & Arts 2022 will go to support Pathstone Foundation, which supports the work of Pathstone Mental Health in the Niagara Region.

Tickets for the festival are $60, with attendees under 10 getting in free. You can find more info on tickets, scheduling and lineup here
