Chin Injeti Gets Shad, David Banner, Jay Electronica, Talib Kweli for 'Peoples Mixtape'

While he's been busy developing young artists' career as an A&R rep for Universal Music Canada, former Bass Is Base member and Grammy Award-winning producer Chin Injeti hasn't offered up any solo material since 2010's D'Tach (2011's R'Tach was a remix set). Injeti jumps back into the game this month, though, with his collab-heavy Peoples Mixtape.

The mix will arrive pro bono July 17 via Wandering Worx Music. A tracklisting has yet to arrive, but the set is described as "an ode to those people who inspire Chin and are inspired by him, as well as a showcase of Chin's versatility as a producer and love for a wide range of music."

Guests that pop up to perform with Injeti include David Banner, Jay Electronica, Talib Kweli, Moka Only, Maestro, the New Royales, Jasiri X, Kyprios, Chace Infinite, Krondon, and Zaki Ibrahim, among others. You can get the first taste of the collection via new single "Peoples 1," an eerie number locked into a gloomy groove that features performances from Shad, Skratch Bastid and Bishop Lamont.
