Cheekface have added their name to the lengthy list of acts who have covered Nick Lowe's "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding."
With their rendition of the track, the Los Angeles trio stay true to Elvis Costello & the Attractions' take — by far the most popular version of the 1974 tune. They follow in the footsteps of Wilco, Yo La Tengo, Sheryl Crowe, the Flaming Lips, Bon Jovi and many, many more. Listen to it below.
"(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding" follows "Popular 2," another one-off track released since last year's Too Much to Ask.
In other Cheekface news, the band were surprised earlier today (June 29) to see "Liar Island" — a 2019 deep cut off their debut Therapy Island — made it to McDonald's Grimace's birthday playlist. The purple blob has taste, what can we say?
