Che Chapter 127

I have always had a hard time with political rock. I highly respect what bands like Vancouver's Che Chapter 127, named after revolutionist Che Guevara, are doing. Their message is important and needs to be heard, but a lot of these bands are created as a forum to relay messages, not created out of some musical vision or talent, just to right the wrongs of society and revolt. When we are lucky, that desire for a greater good is accompanied by a brilliant musical mind (Rage Against the Machine). Unfortunately, Che Chapter 127 doesn't have that same brilliance. I've heard that vocalist Meegan Maultsaid is something to see live, but that is not apparent from this recording. Che Chapter 127 needs to focus more on their presentation to make their message clear.
