Renowned wife guy Chance the Rapper is now single, as he and Kirsten Corley have announced that they have split.
In a message jointly credited to the former couple, they wrote on Instagram today, "After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways. We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters, who we will continue to raise together."
Chance famously chronicled the couple's wedding on his official debut album, 2019's The Big Day. The album was negatively received, resulting in a cancelled tour and a lawsuit from his former manager.
At the time, he complained, "I feel like even more than that, some people want me to feel ashamed. Shame is heavy yo. And feeling shame for something that you were once prideful about is super heavy." The album even turned "I love my wife" into a full-blown meme.
Chance and Kirsten Corley began dating in 2013. They had daughters in 2015 and 2019. They split in 2015 and became embroiled in a legal dispute over child support, but reconciled in 2018.
