Champion Finally Comes Out of Hiding for Album Number Two

In the four years since former Exclaim! cover star Champion released his fantastic debut, Chill 'Em All, it appears the Montreal DJ has been hard at work on a suitable follow-up. So much so that the DJ allegedly scrapped an entire album's worth of material last year.

"I could have gone back to where I am from. I could have made obscure electro, even more experimental, but for me, there was no challenge in doing so!" Champion explains in the press release.

Instead, the artist emerged with Resistance. The album, his second proper full-length, is due from Saboteur Musique on September 15, and sees the artist explore elements of rock music, and apparently is "strongly inspired by turn of the century slavery songs."

Two tracks from the album, "L6 (The Blooded)" and "Alive Again," can currently be heard on his MySpace page.

Resistance:

1. "Clear Beach"
2. "Resistance (Skool)"
3. "Perfect In Between"
4. "Plastiques Et Metaux"
5. "So Big"
6. "Backing Off"
7. "L6 (The Blooded)"
8. "My Black Saab"
9. "Sanois Beach"
10. "Alive Again"
11. "The Monster"
