CGI J-Pop Star Hatsune Miku Announces North American Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished Nov 11, 2015

Hatsune Miku is a digitally generated Japanese pop star, and having previously come to North America for some select dates, she is getting ready to return to our continent next year for the "HATSUNE MIKU EXPO 2016 North America" tour.

Hatsune Miku is portrayed as a blue-haired 16-year-old girl (although, technically speaking, she's actually an eight-year-old 3D CGI creation with a synthesized voice). The North American leg of her 2016 tour consists of a fairly modest six shows in April and May. Most of these are in the U.S., but there's also an appearance in Toronto on May 20. This outing is Miku's longest overseas jaunt. She's also going to be playing some Japanese shows earlier in the spring

See Miku's 2016 schedule below (tickets for the Toronto date go on sale November 20). At the bottom of the page, watch the digital star's 2014 appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman, as well as some live footage.
