Despite their hilariously offensive name, Brooklyn's Cerebral Ballzy are taking their '80s hardcore-influenced punk to big places. Following big deal tours with OFF!, Trash Talk and a current slot opening for the Black Lips, they'll release their self-titled debut this summer. Now, we've got a taste of how it will sound with the track "Insufficient Fare."
The clean vocal delivery and some high quality production suggest this band could be going for something bigger than their hardcore punk opening slot ghetto, but they've still got that SST spirit in their straight-ahead riffing and lack of dicking around.
