Outside of their annual Liquid Arts festival, Hamilton-based brewer Collective Arts is continuing to celebrate the intersection of art, music and beer with their new Audio/Visual lager, and Exclaim! is proud to celebrate these new suds with a launch party later this month.
The launch event for Collective Arts' Audio/Visual lager is set for November 27, taking place at 918 Bathurst St. in Toronto.
Running from 7 p.m. to midnight, the free event (with RSVP) will feature a secret guest headliner. As Collective Arts clarifies, "No, this is not clever marketing. We're legally not allowed to announce the artist. Trust us, it will be good."
The evening will also feature $5 cans of Audio/Visual lager, a Collective Arts gin bar, and the opportunity to sample up to 10 limited-edition Collective Arts releases.
Continuing its run of unique packaging designs, Audio/Visual finds Collective Arts partnering with a record label, four bands and one visual artist to be featured on the cans. Every three months, the label, bands and visual artist will switch, fostering further discovery of emerging music of all genres.
For Audio/Visual's inaugural rotation, the brewery teamed up with New York City-based independent label Mom+Pop Music and signees Ashe, Hinds, Sunflower Bean and Raffaela. Burlington, VT-based visual artist Mikey Lavi created the art for all four cans, including the illustration seen above.
Launch party attendees can RSVP through the launch party's Facebook event page.
