​Carrie Fisher's Daughter Billie Lourd Shares Birthday Tribute with Tom Petty Cover

Billie Lourd, the daughter of late Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher, marked what would have been her mom's 63rd birthday with a Tom Petty cover.
 
Lourd shared the recording via Instagram yesterday (October 21), explaining that she wanted to "celebrate her by doing things that she loved to do."
 
As such, Lourd recorded herself singing one of Fisher's favourite songs in one of her favourite places — the bathtub. Lourd added that she would also be honouring her mother with a dinner consisting of a pint of vanilla ice cream and Coca-Cola.

Happy birthday Momby. Today would have been my Momby's 63rd birthday. Not that I'm some kind of grief expert by any means, but on milestones (or whatever you want to call them) like this, I like to celebrate her by doing things that she loved to do. So here's a little video of me singing one of her favorite songs (American girl by Tom petty) in one of her favorite places (her bathtub of course). I'll probably have a pint of vanilla haggen daaz and a Coca Cola for dinner.
