Multi-instrumentalist, record producer and proud Georgia native Butch Walker is set to release a new EP called Peachtree Battle on September 17 via Dangerbird and Maple Music Recordings. The exclusive Canadian premiere of the EP, which features Walker's first solo material since his 2011 album The Spade, is now at Exclaim.ca.
The EP features some of Walker's most personal material to date. Partly inspired by the passing of his father, "Big" Butch Walker, late in August of this year, Peachtree Battle finds Walker coming to terms with internal sadness and attempting to move forward. The EP's five country-infused pop songs paint a picture of cautious optimism in the wake of tragedy.
