Just days after being fired from the upcoming Queen biopic, director Bryan Singer has been accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy.
As TMZ reports, the allegations come via new lawsuit filed against Singer, who is perhaps best known for helming various X-Men films. In the suit, a man named Cesar Sanchez-Guzman claims that Singer raped him at a yacht party back in 2003. The alleged incident took place in the Seattle area, according to the lawsuit, and when Guzman was 17.
Guzman claims that Singer forced both oral and anal sex upon him, and as a result, has suffered years of emotional, psychological and physical pain. Furthermore, the suit claims that Singer threatened Guzman, telling the young man that if he ever came forward the filmmaker would ruin his reputation.
Guzman is seeking unspecified damages in the case.
As TMZ reports, Singer has denied all of the claims against him. Also, Guzman's lawyer, Jeff Herman, has filed two previous lawsuits against Singer — both of which were dismissed at the accusers' request.
Besides those two cases, Singer has been the subject of various other sexual misconduct allegations over the years.
As previously reported, Singer was recently fired from the Queen biopic project, Bohemian Rhapsody, after failing to show up on the set after American Thanksgiving. Prior to his dismissal, Twentieth Century Fox reportedly received multiple complaints about Singer's unprofessional behaviour, with Jim Beach briefly quitting the film and star Rami Malek getting into a heated altercation with the director.
It was later announced that Dexter Fletcher would be taking over the film.
