Brutal Knights

"Too Fat"

BY Cam LindsayPublished Apr 1, 2005

Only the loudest, most fanatical punks could pull off songs about wetting your pants at the rippers or declaring London, Ontario the worst city in the world because the "girls have more problems than math.” Led by the comedic talents of Nick Flanagan, Toronto’s Brutal Knights combine a knack for potty humour with some blinding hardcore punk that is somehow devoid of the toe tag that is novelty rock. Somewhere between Black Flag’s classic bonehead anthem "T.V. Party” and a good portion of NOFX’s catalogue, "Too Fat” is a rant about expanding your waistline and recognising the unhealthy effects, but being too reckless to do anything about it.
