After a chunk of silence, St. Catharines, ON indie rockers Bronx Cheerleader are ready to drop a new track called "Mad Sam Is Dead," and you can listen to it first on Exclaim.ca.
The tune is slated to appear on the band's next album Hell in a Rocket, which they are currently piecing together and is due out later this year. It will mark the follow-up to 2012's Real Punks Don't Sing About Girls, though they also released a remix of their tune "Get Out Your Guns," courtesy of the Beta Band's Steve Mason that same year.
"Mad Sam Is Dead" mixes hazy vocals from Scott Warren atop pedal steel work from Joe Lapinski, giving the song a rootsy, psychedelic feel. While we await new details of the band's forthcoming full-length, give "Mad Sam Is Dead" a spin in the player below.
