Earlier this year, Hulu released the New York Times Presents documentary Framing Britney Spears, and the floodgates have now been opened regarding Britney Spears' conservatorship, which is controlled by her father. Up next, we're getting a BBC doc on the subject.

As NME reports, BBC Two is working on a doc that digs into the nitty-gritty of the conservatorship. The doc will see BAFTA-winning journalist Mobeen Azhar travel to Los Angeles to meet with fans from the Free Britney movement while also detailing the conservatorship.

"I went to L.A. in search of the truth of how Britney Spears, one of the biggest pop stars on the planet, ended up in a conservatorship," Azhar said in a statement. "I found myself in a world of lawyers, superfans and paparazzi and spent time with many of the people who've had a front row seat in Britney's life."

Azhar continued, "This film taps into the energy of the #FreeBritney movement and questions the industry, fandom and the laws that facilitate conservatorships."

The BBC Two documentary is set to air this spring. Spears' father Jamie Spears has repeatedly insisted that Britney has never asked him to step aside.
