The Breeders Reveal North American Leg of 'Last Splash' Anniversary Tour, Play Toronto

BY Alex HudsonPublished Feb 5, 2013

The Breeders previously confirmed plans to tour in 2013 for the 20th anniversary of their 1993 album Last Splash and already rolled out some overseas dates. Now, the band's classic lineup of Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs and Jim Macpherson have extended their touring activities to include a string of North American dates.

Following a March date in New York, the North American tour begins in earnest in May. In addition to a number of U.S. shows, this leg includes a single Canadian date in Toronto on May 11. They will then head to Europe for some previously announced shows in May and June. See the schedule below.

At these gigs, the band will be performing Last Splash in full. Violinist Carrie Bradley will take part in the shows, and a press release promises that more dates will be announced. Go to the band's website for ticket information.

As for the deluxe anniversary edition of Last Splash, it's called LSXX and it will arrive on April 23 through 4AD.
