Born at Midnite, the new dance-pop project from TOPS's David Carriere and BBQT's Amery Sandford, dropped their self-titled debut EP earlier this year on Arbutus Records. Now, the Montreal-based duo have shared new visuals for EP track "Born at Midnite (Every Time) (9AM)."
As befitting the "9AM version" of the dancefloor-ready single "Born at Midnite (Every Time)," this version strips out most of the original's percussion and guitar licks, providing a sparse soundtrack to the morning after, when your head is throbbing and eyes are bleary, with enough groove to keep you going but not enough to aggravate your headache.
The cute clip, by Sandford and editor Raphaël Sandler, finds the duo's cartoon alter-egos dancing all over the world, with simple looped animation on top of stock photos of some of humankind's most iconic landscapes, both on and off Earth.
