Despite what seemed to be modest amps and little setup, the Montreal trio created a wall of raw and unpolished yet perfect fuzz. Their style of loud-quiet-loud alt-rock was comparable to Sebadoh or Dinosaur Jr, with certain songs even jogging memories of early 90s Canadian bands from the East coast scene. Competing with dozens of other shows and having their venue switched at the last minute meant that people trailed in throughout the band's set, but that didn't faze their energy. Sweaty and energetic throughout, Boo Hoo proved they are a noisy force to be reckoned with.
