Bob Dylan's legendary Basement Tapes are finally being released in full on November 4 via Sony/Legacy, and the six-disc box set includes 30 songs previously unknown to the public. Now, we've got another one of those unheard cuts: "Dress It Up, Better Have It All."
This ramshackle track from Dylan's session with the Band is a bluesy rock number with honky tonk piano, twangy electric guitar leads, and a freewheeling vocal performance from the songwriter. Okay, so he doesn't quiet nail that falsetto, and the song clatters to a rather abrupt end, but this is pure gold for devoted Dylanites.
