Brooklyn-based techno two-piece Blondes followed up their last full-length Swisher with a remix EP last year, and now they've unveiled plans for two new releases.
A new EP called Persuasion will arrive on August 7 via RVNG Intl., both digitally and on 12-inch vinyl. It features three new tracks, and according to a press release, offers listeners "kinetic textures," "unpredictable paths" and "spiralling percussion" that remain grounded by the duo's signature grooves.
As a precursor to the new EP, the band have shared what they describe as an "audio collage." Titled Rein, it features a 50-minute long "unusual collection" of Blondes' music that served as an inspiration for the forthcoming EP. It was compiled over a weekend-long studio session by the duo. It is available today (June 23) as a limited-edition cassette and will be released digitally on July 10.
