Last year, Numero hinted that a Blonde Redhead collection might be on the way, and 12 months later, the label has finally announced some official plans: a new early-years set titled Masculin Féminin will arrive on September 30.
The four-LP/two-CD compilation measures in at 37 tracks, including the band's first two albums (1995's Blonde Redhead and La Mia Vita Violenta), and an assortment of rarities.
The pair of albums was originally released on Steve Shelley's Smells Like Records, but will now get fleshed out thanks to newly unearthed singles, demos and live radio performances.
In addition to the musical accoutrements, the set also contains previously unpublished photographs that accompany two essays about the band's formative years.
