Blessthefall

Witness

"We're not like you said, we're not dead" howls Blessthefall on the opening track of sophomore release Witness, perhaps in retaliation to rumours the band were over when vocalist Craig Mabbitt departed. The introduction seamlessly bleeds into "What's Left Of Me," as new front-man Beau Bokan (ex-Take the Crown) picks up where Mabbitt left off. Despite a tough past two years, Blessthefall are back with a vengeance that manages to do everything right, wavering between insane guitars and drums and Bokan's smooth melodies. It sometimes crosses into uninspired post-hardcore territory, but Blessthefall stay relevant by focusing on their matured sense of melody and storytelling. Blessthefall will use Witness as a platform to further distinguish themselves from their peers. Recorded by Elvis Baskette (Incubus, Story of the Year), Witness is a thirsty sophomore release that will catapult Blessthefall back onto the radar.
