black midi announced their sophomore album Cavalcade back in March, and later, they plotted an extensive U.S. tour for this fall. Those dates did not include any Canadian stops initially, but now, the band have expanded their tour to include three dates north of the border next year.
In 2022, the UK outfit will make their way to Canada, beginning with a stop at Toronto's Phoenix Concert Theatre on March 26. Next, they'll play Montreal's Société des Art Technologiques on March 28, before making their way to the West Coast for a show at Vancouver's Biltmore Cabaret on April 12. The new trek concludes on April 19 in Berkeley, CA.
In addition to revealing their 16 new performances, the group have also shared a new single from their forthcoming sophomore effort. Today, they've dropped "Chondromalacia Patella" alongside a new video directed by Vilhjálmur Yngvi Hjálmarsson. According to a release, the song is about "convalescence, aptly named after a band member's knee injury from running."
The eight-track Cavalcade is due to arrive in full on May 28 through Rough Trade. So far, the group have shared "John L" and "Slow" from the record.
