Early last month, Björk revealed that a follow-up effort to 2015's Vulnicura would be "coming out very soon." Now, she's let listeners know when they can expect a first single form the disc.

Taking to Twitter this morning (September 5), the Icelandic icon revealed that a new track titled "The Gate" would arrive digitally September 18, and as a single-sided 12-inch on September 22. You can pre-order the single here, and can find its artwork below.

"the gate is essentially a love song, but i say 'love' in a more transcendent way," Björk's website reads. "vulnicura was about a very personal loss, and i think this new album is about a love that's even greater. it's about rediscovering love — but in a spiritual way, for lack of a better word."

As previously reported, Björk's yet-to-be-titled album is currently available for pre-order. It had previously been revealed that Björk was at work on the new disc with Arca, having also performed live with the producer at Toluca, Mexico's Ceremonia festival earlier this year.
